One of our customers is a well-known international company in the automotive industry. When they built their factory in Guangzhou in 2005, they didn’t know much about casters and made some wrong choice by using some low cost brands whose casters were in construction of upper and lower raceways. Moreover, their casters came with different kinds of material and therefore they found it hard to have a good management in quality. During their pilot production in 2006, the material trolleys created huge noise in power traction. What’s worse, some material trolley was swung out and unfortunately hit the fire hydrant. This accident happened because they used a wrong kind of caster material in this application. After a comprehensive understanding of their need in material flow, Colson made a recommendation of its shock-absorbing casters to this customer and successfully solved the issue.
